来自加拿大的知名网上音乐杂志textura在其12月期号刊登了一篇对mü-nest的第一张发行“we are all cotton-hearted”的评论。以下是全文：

mü-nest
Malaysia-based mü-nest’s We Are All Cotton-Hearted features twenty-five beatific electronic pop lullabies (most of them previously unreleased) that effortlessly transport one back to a trouble-free childhood realm. Though the term ‘easy-listening’ conventionally carries a pejorative connotation, the term accurately conveys the collection’s accessible character.
Contributors hail from China, Belgium, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, France, and, primarily, Japan but, interestingly, a healthy number of Audio Dregs artists appear, including label founder E*Rock (“Living, Breathing, Etc”), The Grace Period (“Best of Boston”), Supersprite (“Farewell Cosmo”), and Dim Dim (“Chooby”), with the US imprint’s extroverted playfulness a colourful complement to the We’re All Cotton-Hearted sensibility. Of course, the Audio Dregs-mü-nest connection is most naturally embodied by the inclusion of Japan-based Lullatone whose “Good Morning Melody” is a nicely representative example of Shawn James Seymour and Yoshimi Tomida’s ‘pajama pop.’ In addition, Park Avenue Music ( US duo Wes Steed and Jeanette Faith) contribute a piano-based reverie “Piet” that’s as pretty as anything else on the collection.
Accompanied by sweetly singing strings, Piana’s child-like voice whispers in one’s ear in the ultra-pretty opener “Ancient Note,” and sets the tone for the equally lovely material that follows. Throughout, toy pianos, glockenspiels, music boxes, and electronics imbue the material with an innocent aura. Nara ’s (Tan Shuoxin) “Auto Auto” would lull even the most sleep-resistant child off to Never-Never Land , and “IHI” by Flau’s Aus (Yasuhiko Fukuzono) and Cokiyu is dreamy too. Simulated steel drums brighten the already-sunny melodies of miroque’s “Botanical Sunset Paradise,” while Yasushi Yoshida’s “Individual Regression”—as slow and stately as a funeral procession—offers a rare somber moment. Plus there are gorgeous pop songs by France-based Melodium (“Ballad”), China ’s Kulyfile’s (“Xi”), and Malaysian artists muxu (“Journey to the City”) and Kaa (“Ki”).
A few eyebrow-raising moments occur—Kazumasa Hashimoto’s otherwise pretty “Sweet End” inexplicably includes a soulful vocal turn by Todd Kendrick, Asana’s electronic-post-rock fusion (a cinq remix of “Summer Snow”) feels jarring in this largely mellow context, and Taiwan’s Lim Giong weighs in with an anomalous, fifteen-minute episodic travelogue (“Marching Forward”) that’s more hallucinatory, electro-acoustic collage than song—but, generally speaking, We’re All Cotton-Hearted registers as an oft-magical collection.

坦白说，魏如萱(娃娃)的这张《甜蜜生活 La Dolce Vita》首先吸引我的，并不是娃娃本身，而是筹划製作这张专辑的独立厂牌《前卫花园》。熟悉台湾独立唱片市场的朋友，一定会不会不知道《前卫花园》。《前卫花园》的老板Loou Wang (王聖懷)憑一己之力，一手为台湾乐迷们引进那时大家都还未曾听闻过、可是现在已经不可能不认识国外艺人如Maximillian Hecker, Mondialito, The Innocence Mission以及一众甜美的西班牙女声，继而对台湾独立唱片市场 (然后延伸到台湾独立音乐圈子) ，产生不容置疑的深远影响。然而在唱片市场持续萎缩的这样一个大环境之下，知道这样一个具影响力的独立厂牌义无反顾地签下它第一位的台湾本土艺人时，这本身就已经让我非常感兴趣了。
接着，这张唱片对我来说的第二个selling point，依然还不是娃娃本身(娃娃迷不要打我=P) ，而是整个幕后创作/制作的团队。专辑是由被誉为日本Club 8的梦幻樂團 Mondialito 的团长笛岡俊哉Toshiya Fueoka操刀。此君更负责了专辑内所有的编曲、演奏(除了Track 11) 、录音和混音工作。此君的实力，可以从Mondialito席卷港台韩3地的非凡魅力里，获得证明(当然，女主唱Junko也是功不可没) 。而专辑的创作团队，除了Mondialito本身，更获得来自德国的Maximillian Hecker，阿根廷的石头三姐妹Entre Rios，西班牙的Niza，中国的“托特巴士大乐队” 和“卡奇社” 等优秀的独立音乐人鼎力相助，阵容可说是一时无两啊！
然后，才是娃娃本身。以“前「自然捲」女主唱” 的这个身份，不用多说就已经是先声夺人了。在加上“她声音的特质在这样背景的一个厂牌、这样一个国际性的创作/制作的团队里，会撞击出怎么样的火花” 这样一个高好奇度的境况 ，确实是让我非常期待的。
而这张专辑完成后出来的效果，果然，是令人感到幸喜满足的。就像，享受了一顿美味的下午茶的，那种满足。
首先，严格来说，这不是一张100%全新创作的专辑。除了魏如萱自己创作的“拖鞋”, Maximillian Hecker的“In The Same Place You’re In”和卡奇社的“世界末日的某个角落” 之外，其他的歌曲皆曾收录在个别作曲人自己的专辑里，现重新编曲，再由娃娃重新填上中文歌词(或甚至索性用回原版歌词)来翻唱(A todo Color和Downtown Cafe两曲皆用回原汁原味的原版歌词) 。在这样一个“珠玉在前” 情况下，魏如萱和笛岡俊哉不止没有拘束于原版的影子下，他们甚至能够漂亮地把旋律和音符构架里所有应有和该有的潜能及意境，更完美地被凸显出来，继而超越了原版的表现。例如Track 1的“拉拉拉拉” ，原版是Entre Rios收录在“idioma suave” 专辑里毫不起眼的“temporal” 。经魏如萱和笛岡俊哉改造后，整首歌就表现出之外没有的生动和优雅，层次也更显丰富，而曲末的那缓缓加上reverb然后fade out的做法更让人有餘音裊裊擴散的美妙感觉。再举另一个例子，Track 6的“香水”，原版是香港独立音乐人Oliver的“体味”(同样是由娃娃填词) 。笛岡俊哉重编和魏如萱重唱后，原版的音质和演唱上的凌角都没有了，整首歌曲的忧郁意境应而获得了更完美的诠译，而那凋零的钢琴音粒的出现更是漂亮得没话说。
再来，对没有接触过原版歌曲的乐迷来说，那就更简单了，因为这张专辑着实能给你耳目一新的感觉。你听魏如萱唱“女人经痛时” 时( 葛若力的原版收录在“热浪摇滚4” 专辑里) ，那美妙的轻摇滚一定会让脚指也动起来，轻快地应和着你心里的那一笑。而“Downtown Cafe” 给你的惊艳和感动goosebump，肯定不会少过Emily Sparks迷曾经历过的。不管你是Cheer陈绮贞迷或北欧indie pop迷，bossa nova式的“花王”( 原曲为Niza的“Por las tardes”)和微风般凉快的“一起去旅行” ( 原曲为“托特巴士大乐队”的“Sunday Trip”)，你肯定都会照单全收。而zito自己非常钟爱的“房间” ( 原曲为Mondialito的“Rainy Green Grass”) ，虽然原版获得The Cardigans與Franz Ferdinand的瑞典製作人Tore Johansson来打造，但魏如萱这个版本的动听度比原版有过之而无不及，填上中文词后更能让乐迷感受音符里那股缓缓漾开的暖流。
博客來影音部經理说，魏如萱的“甜蜜生活”，是博客來音樂館開館以來，銷售量最多的新人專輯。对此，我不怀疑。毕竟，有谁能够抗拒这样一顿甜而不腻的下午茶呢？

Waa ’s debut album 《La Dolce Vita》
要推一下这一张。前自然卷女主音魏如萱(娃娃)单飞后，蟄伏已久再次出击的首张个人专辑，《甜蜜生活 La Dolce Vita》 。中文独立流行音乐好久都没有让我这么期待过了。
首先，这张专辑是由台湾拥有優良口碑的独立厂牌《前卫花园》筹划製作，也是其簽約的第一位台湾本土藝人。然后，《前卫花园》所代理的西班牙、歐日美等地的樂團(如Niza, Entre Rios，Mondialito等)更纷纷为专辑提供了自己的歌曲，并交由魏如萱親手填上中文歌詞。其中更包括了大家所熟悉的Maximillian Hecker也特地为专辑創作了一首歌，並且親自擔任樂器演奏。除此之外﹐中國清新組合“托特巴士大乐队”, 来自台湾彰化的女民谣音乐人“葛若力”，香港资深独立音乐人Oliver，以及《前卫花园》即将推出的流行电音组合“卡奇社”也为专辑贡献歌曲。而为整张专辑担任制作人的，就是被誉为日本のClub 8的梦幻樂團 Mondialito 的团长笛岡俊哉Toshiya Fueoka (此君对女声的制作功力是众所周知的了得)。看幕后组合已经让人大流口水了，魏如萱的声音里独特气息与味道更是不用多说了吧！(魏如萱也在专辑里翻唱了Emily Sparks的首本名曲Downtown Cafe!!! 呵呵呵！)

“This new release is most definitely Monotonik’s first from Malaysia, thanks to duo Euseng and Liang, also known as Muxu, who’ve followed up their self-released debut album ‘Above Us, A Clear Summer Sky’ with this wonderful 6-track EP, ‘Show Us Your Weak Side’, here as the 190th release on Mono.
The duo first met for a joint band project - with Liang playing guitar for delightfully named band Citizens of Ice-Cream, but set up Muxu in early 2006. They’ve also contributed a track to the Mu-nest label compilation ‘We Are All Cotton-Hearted’, alongside other artists such as Lullatone, Piana, Park Avenue Music and Aus.
In any case, Muxu starts out with the delightfully meandering ‘Hishiko’, all sliding ambience and strong melodies - reminding of previous Monotonik artists Sleepy Town Manufacture through a distinct guitar-infused Asian blend, perhaps? It only gets lusher from there, with ‘Let’s Walk On The Frozen Sea’ weaving almost Harold Budd-esque piano into the mix, and ‘Meeting Snow During Summer’ continuing the carefully multi-layered shimmer.
Other highlights include the careful groove of ‘Moving At 30′ and the end track, ‘People Running Away’, which has us running towards, not from Muxu’s lush sound from an unusual place. Thanks, guys.”

5. side note: plot’s “ondo” album is damn brilliant. it didn’t get me much when i first listened to it…but it gradually grows on me. now im totally hooked with it. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended!!! its a perfect BGM album for WHATEVER you are doing!
6. finally, we have managed to get 2 of our favourite artists to contribute to flica’s upcoming debut album “windvane and window” (to be released by my label, mu-nest ^^). the 2 of them will be doing a remix each to back the already awesome 8-tracks album. hohoho…mouth-watering!! all i can say at the moment is that both of the artists are from Japan, and those who have been following this blog, you can bet you have heard of them — alot!!
7. got off from the office for 3 days to attend a workshop called “the 7 habits of highly effective people”. the name may sound a bit lame and hard-sell, but i can assure you that it is indeed a superb course — probably one of the best that i’ve ever attended during my 6 years in this company. those who think their life sucks and still can’t get over it, this one is for you. cheers.

About Lucrecia
Lucrecia began her music project in Medellín, Colombia in 2003. Acerca, her first full length album was released under the colombian label Series in 2005, and was re-mastered and re-released in 2007 by the mexican label Mil Records with some new tracks and new versions of the songs. Like being Home is her first EP released under the netlabel section of Series , in which she works using more acoustic sounds, recording the sounds of everyday life objects and with a better vocal exploration, all mixed with the characteristical sound of her previous works: Soft voices and beautiful melodies.
Lucrecia has also made some remixes for two members of Mil records from Mexico called Latinziser and Tre/molo, and vocal collaborations for Jack’s son from Abolipop Records and Arhkota Drummer.
